Frequently Asked Questions
International checkout opens in 2026.
Visitors outside South Africa may browse the store but cannot complete purchases yet.
Orders
You can place an order directly through the online shop by selecting your preferred artwork, choosing the size, and proceeding to checkout.
If you need help choosing a print or have questions about sizes or editions, you are welcome to contact me before purchasing.
Once your order is placed, you will receive an order confirmation by email. Your print is then prepared, signed, and packed as part of the edition process. You will receive a notification once your order has been shipped with a tracking link for your delivery.
If you need to change or cancel your order, please contact me as soon as possible. Because each print is produced individually, changes can only be made before your order has entered the printing or finishing stage.
Yes. If you are purchasing a print as a gift, you can leave a note at checkout with any special instructions. Gift messages can be included at no extra cost.
Gift vouchers are available in South African Rand (ZAR) only at this time. These vouchers can be purchased directly through the shop and used for any print or edition currently available.
For international clients, options for international purchasing will be introduced during 2026. Further details will be shared closer to the time as the structure of the international offering is finalised.
Custom print requests are possible only for images that are not part of my Signature Editions or Collectors Editions. Limited editions are fixed in format and cannot be altered without affecting the integrity of the edition.
If you would like to enquire about a custom print of a non-editioned image, you are welcome to contact me and I will advise whether it may be available.
You do not need to choose your border style or signature placement during checkout. After you place your order, I will contact you directly to confirm your preferences for borders and where you would like the signature (front or back). This ensures every print is produced exactly as you prefer.
Prints & Editions
My primary fine art paper is Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta, a museum-grade archival paper known for its rich tonal depth and exceptional detail. It offers a refined, subtle gloss that enhances definition without compromising the natural fine art texture.
Certain artworks may also be produced on alternative archival papers where appropriate, including Hahnemühle German Etching, metallic papers, and selected Canon fine art papers. Each option is chosen carefully to match the character of the image while maintaining archival quality.
Yes. All prints are produced using archival pigment inks on high-quality, acid-free fine art papers. When cared for correctly, these prints are designed to last for many decades without noticeable fading.
Signature Editions are limited edition fine art prints with fixed edition sizes per format and per print size. Each work is individually printed, hand-signed, embossed, and includes a premium Certificate of Authenticity.
Signature Editions are available in one format family per artwork — either A-series sizes or Square-format sizes (never both for the same image).
The edition limits are:
- A4 / Small Square – 25 prints
- A3 / Medium Square – 15 prints
- A3+ – 12 prints
- A3+ Artist Proof – 1 print (separate AP edition)
- A2 / Large Square – 10 prints
- A1 / X-Large Square – 7 prints
- A0 / XX-Large Square – 3 prints
Each size is a standalone edition.
Once an edition sells out in a particular size, no further prints of that artwork will be produced in that size or its equivalent square format.
Collector Editions are the most exclusive fine art prints available. Each Collector Edition is produced as a one-of-one (1/1) print per size, ensuring absolute rarity at the chosen scale.
Collector Editions follow a strict exclusivity rule:
- If a Collector Edition is produced in any A-series size, all square-format sizes for that artwork are permanently closed.
- If produced in any Square-format size, all A-series sizes for that artwork are permanently closed.
This ensures each artwork exists in one format family only.
Within the chosen format family, each size is limited to a single print:
A-Series Option:
- A4 – 1/1
- A3 – 1/1
- A3+ – 1/1
- A2 – 1/1
- A1 – 1/1
- A0 – 1/1
Square-Series Option:
- Small Square – 1/1
- Medium Square – 1/1
- Large Square – 1/1
- X-Large Square – 1/1
- XX-Large Square – 1/1
Collector Edition Includes:
- A true one-of-a-kind artwork at the selected size
- Hand-signed and embossed by the artist
- Unique tamper-proof authenticity code
- Premium Certificate of Authenticity confirming 1/1 status
- Master file secured and never printed again at that size or shape
Collector Editions provide unmatched rarity and long-term collector value.
Open Editions are not sold through the online store. From time to time they may be made available through selected local outlets such as gallery shops, tourist information centres, or small retail spaces that specialise in locally sourced art. These prints are typically smaller formats, such as A5 or A4, often produced on standard photo or fine art poster paper.
Open Editions do not include a signature or Certificate of Authenticity and do not form part of the limited edition system.
Only limited edition prints include a Certificate of Authenticity. Each Signature Edition and Collectors Edition print is accompanied by a hand-signed COA that confirms the title, edition number, paper type, date, and all relevant edition details.
Yes. All limited editions are hand-signed and include an embossed seal. You may choose whether the signature appears on the front or the back of the print. Open Editions do not include a signature.
Borders follow a consistent set of proportions across all editions and cannot be customised. Paper types may vary at my discretion depending on the artwork, but prints are always produced on archival-grade media that suits the image.
Custom prints may be possible only for images that are not part of my Signature Editions or Collectors Editions. Limited edition works cannot be altered or reissued in custom forms without affecting the integrity of the edition.
If you are interested in a custom print of a non-editioned image, you are welcome to contact me and I will confirm whether it may be available.
Every print is produced using calibrated equipment to ensure accurate colour and tone. Even so, slight differences may appear due to variations in how screens display colour.
Fine art prints typically show more depth and detail than digital previews, especially on archival papers.

Shipping & Delivery
Not at this time. The online shop currently serves customers within South Africa only. International purchasing options will be introduced in late 2026, with further details shared closer to the launch.
Deliveries are arranged through BobGo, which works with a number of trusted domestic courier partners across South Africa. The courier selected may vary depending on your delivery address, service availability, and the safest route for your parcel.
Each print is produced individually. Please allow up to 10 days for printing, signing, embossing, preparation of the Certificate of Authenticity, and careful packing.
Once dispatched, delivery times usually range from 1 to 5 working days, depending on your location. Major cities often receive parcels faster, while outlying areas may take a little longer.
You will receive an email with your tracking details as soon as your parcel has been collected by the courier. You can follow the progress of your delivery through the tracking link provided.
All prints are packaged securely to protect them during transit. Smaller formats are typically shipped flat in reinforced packaging, while larger formats may be shipped in heavy-duty tubes or courier-safe packaging depending on the size and paper type. Each parcel is sealed, labelled, and prepared to ensure the artwork arrives safely.
Personal collection is not available at this time. All orders are shipped through courier partners to ensure safe and documented delivery.
Courier delays can occasionally happen, especially during peak periods or in remote locations. If your parcel appears delayed, you are welcome to contact me and I will follow up with the courier on your behalf.
If your parcel or print arrives damaged, please notify me as soon as possible and provide clear photos of both the packaging and the print. I will arrange next steps with you and ensure the issue is resolved.
Please also read the Returns & Refunds Policy.
Yes. All shipments are sent through trusted courier partners, and the parcels are handled with care. If a print arrives damaged, I will work with you to resolve the issue. Please retain the packaging and contact me as soon as possible with photos so that a replacement or solution can be arranged.
FRAMING & DISPLAY
No.
All artworks are sold as unframed prints. This allows you to choose a framing style that suits your home, space, and personal aesthetic. It also ensures the print remains protected during transit, as framed shipping carries a higher risk of damage.
Your print will arrive sealed inside a clear protective sleeve. Please keep the print inside this sleeve until it is ready to be framed. Fine art papers can mark easily if touched with bare hands or exposed to dust, moisture, or friction. The sleeve protects the surface and edges during handling.
If possible, avoid removing the print from the sleeve before framing. A professional framer will know how to handle the paper safely without causing creases, bends, or surface marks. If you do need to remove it, handle it with clean, dry hands and only by the edges.
A simple, high-quality frame works well for most artworks. Many collectors prefer a natural wood or matte black frame for a clean, contemporary presentation. You may choose a frame with or without a mat board depending on whether the print is bordered or full bleed.
More about framing can be read in my Artwork Care Guide.
Yes.
UV-protective glass or acrylic is strongly recommended, especially for rooms with natural light. It reduces the risk of long-term fading and helps preserve the archival quality of the print.
It is best to avoid direct sunlight. Even with UV glass, long-term exposure to strong sunlight may shorten the lifespan of any fine art print. Indirect light is ideal
If you need assistance finding a reputable framer, I can suggest a few trusted framing studios in Cape Town and other major cities. You are also welcome to use any professional framer you prefer, as long as they have experience handling fine art papers.
