Artwork Care Guide

Your fine art print is a work of art created with the highest quality materials and craftsmanship. With the right care, it can be enjoyed for generations. Please follow these guidelines to preserve its beauty and integrity.

Handling Your Print

  • Always handle your print with clean, dry hands or preferably with cotton gloves to avoid fingerprints and oils transferring onto the surface.

  • Avoid touching the printed image area directly. Support your print from underneath using both hands.

Framing and Display

  • For best protection, frame your print using acid-free or archival-quality materials.

  • Use UV-protective glazing (acrylic or glass) to help guard against fading caused by sunlight and indoor lighting.

  • Avoid displaying your artwork in direct sunlight, in areas with high humidity, or near heat sources such as radiators and fireplaces.

Environmental Conditions

  • Keep your artwork in a stable environment where temperature and humidity do not fluctuate excessively.

  • Ideal conditions are a temperature between 18–24°C and a relative humidity of 40–60%.

Cleaning and Maintenance

  • Do not attempt to clean the surface of the print directly.

  • Clean the glazing of framed works using a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid ammonia-based cleaners and spray liquids onto the cloth, not directly onto the glass or acrylic.

Storage

  • If storing your print before framing, keep it flat in its original packaging or in an archival storage box.

  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, or moisture.

By following these guidelines, you will help ensure that your fine art print retains its original colour, detail, and value for many years to come.
